France, June 2003. Bandol

Another week in Bandol. We've stayed there on lots of trips, but it's such a good place. This year we were there at the end of June and the beginning of July. We went via Paris and did the N106 from Mende to Alès like we did on the first trip back in 1998. It really is a fantastic road. Whilst we were in Bandol it was too hot to ride the bikes so we just chilled out, wandered around looking at the sights and drinking lots of gut-rot lager. We even went ten pin bowling one day.

The Bikes (153k)

The observent ones among you will notice that my bike is not the same as last year. I had a bit of an altercation with a car and the bike was a write off, so I had to get another one.

There is a path which goes round most of the outside of the island which we followed until we ended up in a bar on the beach!
